Inconceivable! A Giveaway!

Do you remember my post a few weeks ago for my daughter's birthday? I mentioned that we watched The Princess Bride and I was overwhelmed by all the comments from people who LOVE this movie. Well, a few years ago I found out it was based on a book. A real book. This book.


Yeah, I know it's not a quilty giveaway, but who knows...maybe I'll put a fat quarter in with it or something. Here's the deal. I've read it. I love it. It's wonderful. For those of you who don't like it when a movie doesn't follow the book? Not a problem. It is almost exact. But it gives you more. You get more background history on the characters and the locations mentioned in the story. It really helps round it all out.
So for all my Princess Bride lovers, are you interested? Want a copy? I thought I'd throw this out there for you or for any Princess Bride lovers you have in your family. Maybe a Christmas gift for someone special!

    I love that movie! There were so many funny lines so it is hard to pick, but I liked when Carol Kane said, "I'm not a witch, I'm your wife!"

    Oh I just love that movie. My favorite line is "You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think." Thanks for the giveaway. I haven't read the book yet.

    So, you don't have to give me the book because I have it and have read it (let's say several times). I just felt like commenting because I LOVE the book and the movie. It's a classic that my family loves to watch when we get all together.

    So many choices...my favorite part is the whole poison scene, especially when Vizzini says:
    You only think I guessed wrong! That's what's so funny! I switched glasses when your back was turned! Ha ha! You fool! You fell victim to one of the classic blunders - The most famous of which is "never get involved in a land war in Asia" - but only slightly less well-known is this: "Never go against a Sicilian when death is on the line"!

    Don't enter me since I already have 2 copies (one for each son), but, did you know that there is also an audio book read by Rob Reiner? It's great, too! Would you believe that there are 12 of us sitting around the TV watching Princess Bride as I read and type this? Sew funny!

    I love that movie. It was my niece's favorite when she was little. My favorite part is the explanation of mostly dead and all dead including
