Who are you?
I'm a GA girl who is a married mother of two; Thing 1 is my 10 year old daughter and Thing 2 is my 6 year old son. As far as my age, let's just say I remember when the original "Electric Company" was on TV and leave it at that, shall we?
What crafts do you do and how did you get started?
I am into all sorts of arts/crafts. I sing and do theater but I also don't remember a time where I haven't done some sort of crafting. My grandmother and aunt kept my sister, cousins, and I so they had to keep us busy. From their teaching (along with mom's), as well as the morphing of those teachings into other interests, I have dabbled in embroidery, cross-stitch, crochet, sewing (clothing, bags, home decor), quilting, pottery, and some minor drawing. Basically I don't know a whole lot about any one thing but I sure do know a little about a whole lot of things!
How do you learn about crafting and quilting?
"Hi. My name is Tilda and I'm an Internetaholic." That being said, I am also a member of a local quilting guild which has been very helpful with furthering my interest in quilting. And I have friends who quilt. Great friends who quilt. Blogging has also been amazing for advancing my skills in quilting (at least in my head, if not in actual physical projects) because of the plethora of information available out there from all you wonderful quilt and craft bloggers!
Where does the title of your blog come from?
From a series of unfortunate events; or not so unfortunate. Whatever. Anyway, Tilda actually originated as Matilda and was my hubbie's only uncle's misinterpretation of my actual first name. Twisted was my daughter's misinterpretation of my maiden name when she figured out that my name was different before I married her Daddy. Life? Well, it is what it is.
