This is my latest finish! There are a lot of firsts on this quilt: my first queen size, the largest quilt I've made thus far, the first time using double sided binding (which I love!!!).
This is the Falling Charms quilting tutorial from Missouri Star Quilt Co. using Kate Spain's Good Fortune. It is queen sized and approximately 94x105. I accidentally lost some width from a miscut that I didn't catch until it came back from the quilter's.
The quilting was done by a long armer with a pale purplish thread.
I love how it turned out and will definitely be using this pattern again.
The backing is solid with the little floral you see above. I also created double sided binding for it since the front and back were so vastly different. It was totally easy and came together so well!!!
I'm so excited to be done with something. Now on to finish some UFO's!!

What a lovely quilt; I love Good Fortune!
I just saw 2-sided binding for the first time this year (in a demo at a quilt show), but never all the way around a quilt. THAT IS AWESOME! Thanks for sharing!
Beautifully done!
Have a great weekend. :)
Finishes make you feel so fine! Congrats! I haven't tried the double sided binding yet.
Really lovely quilt. Congratulations on this finish. I'm gonna have to look into the 2-sided binding.
Love it! I just might have to use that pattern myself at some point.
Very pretty - great fabric choices!
What a pretty quilt! I love the fabrics and the backing. Very nice!
Pretty! Love the fabrics in it. Kate Spain is one of my very favorites.
I am a Kate Spain-aholic and love the Good Fortune line! I've made the Falling Charms quilt too and really like the tute and pattern. Such a beautiful quilt! Wow! Double sided binding?
