At Last!

My quilt guild won an honorable mention ribbon at the State Fair in Perry! This is a second version of the Loosey Goosey quilt we are raffling off. I would LOVE to win it! We made an extra set of circles and made up a second one for our president. She entered it into the state fair, and voila! A ribbon!

Looks like they had it hanging from the rafters.

What does that have to do with 'At Last'? Nothing. But this next thing does... have you heard? Jennifer over at Ellison Lane Quilts has come up with an East Coast sewing retreat! It will be March 21-24, 2013 in Charlotte, NC and tickets go on sale today at noon! What's the downside? Only 50 people are going to get to go, so you've got to decide quickly. It's only 4 1/2 hours from me so I could drive.  I do have to figure out getting the kids to school and such if I get to go.

I've been thinking of buying a ticket and then figuring out the rest closer to march.

Congrats on the ribbon. Very nice. I've thought about the newest retreat and decided not to go. Since I'd have to fly there the cost amount isn't that different from goign to Sewing Summit. Plus there are already a lot of activities on my calendar for that time of the year. If you do go, enjoy!
