WiP: The One Where I Should Be Done...But I'm Not

So I should have finished twin quilt number 2 a while back now...but it's still not done. I have blocks for the back on my design board waiting to be pieced with solid blocks.

I have blocks from the front lined up on top of twin quilt number 1 to help me line up for size...

and I have Google issues. I tried to put pictures in my post today and it says I have reached my 1 GB limit in Picasa. However, not all of the pictures that appear in my blog seem to be housed in Picasa so I don't understand what is going on with this. Has anyone had to purchase more space for pictures? Or am I doing something wrong? I'd love to have some ideas of what to do. Otherwise I am stuck for blogging.

Your blocks are looking good! Great style for showing of different prints.

Sorry I can't help you with the picture dilemma...

Yes, I have had the same problem. Love to hear how to solve this.

I haven't gotten to check on your projects for a little while--I like this one! Love those cheery colors.

Sorry, I haven't used picasa, so I can't help you... =( Hope it clears up.

I've definitely run into problems with hosting photos. I periodically clean up old ones that I uploaded, but never included in a post. I use Flickr, where the limit is per month, not overall, but I've often had to upgrade to a Pro account to make room for all my photos (it's around $20 a year).

Photos are big files and can take up a lot of space. You could also try resizing them down to a smaller size and only uploading those, not the large originals.

If you figure out Picassa, please share. I wish I knew how to delete photos that I've uploaded but won't be using.

Fortunately I haven't run into this issue yet but I know I will eventually. I resize all of my images before uploading using VSO Image Resizer (just google it). Then I upload the ones that I would have uploaded to Flickr anyway there and let them host them, and the ones that I wouldn't put on Flickr I upload to the blog. Whatever you do, don't delete photos that you have included in a post or they'll be gone from that post. I accidentally did that once and had to go back and find them on my hard drive and put them back because they were quilt along photos! That was some work. I'm sure I'll be uploading all of them to Flickr once I use up my picasa limit but for now this is what's working for me.

I am loving the quilt~~ It is darling!!

Sorry about the picaso thing. I haven't run into that issue. But I bet I will at some point. Maybe use Flickr or photobucket as well? Or both? Good luck!

That happened to me last year. I ended up paying to upgrade with Picassa. It seemed like the easiest option, or the only option at the time, and it cost $5 a year.

I really like hte blocks and yes I ran into this problem too last year on my other blog. Now I just pay $5 for the upgrade. It is cheap and the cost is worth my time. I was wasting way too much before struggling to get my pics up.

I ran into the same issue last year and just purchased more space from Google. It's like 5 bucks a year- not bad and they send you a reminder every year and let you know where you're at for space.

Good luck getting the quilt done.

Great looking quilt! I think I had the Picassa limit thing happen to me once, and I paid the $5 to upgrade. I need to try and go into Picassa and manage the photos that are duplicates in there.
