WiP Wednesday!

WIP Wednesday at Freshly Pieced

Brooke's quilt was finished! I blogged about it here.

I also did some speed piecing for a mini to enter into Jennifer's Modern Mini Challenge at Ellison Lane Quilts. This was a paper piecing project that I started Friday and finished Monday afternoon. Whew! The block is Origami Star and Cross by Marcia Hohn over at Quilter's Cache.

I also whipped up a couple of bags for two girls in my daughter's Girl Scout troop. At the last minute, they volunteered to go to compete in a Lego Robotics League competition. They won! Now they're going to state! I just wanted to do a little something for them.

One has pink with badges at the top and one has green. They are lined with the same fabric and the ties are pink and white gingham I had leftover from so bags I made. Oh, and of course there are Thin Mints on the bottom of each bag!
How do you like me leaving my front door wide open while I take pictures on my porch, huh? Nice!

Stay tuned tomorrow. I've come across a free quilting software program that I'm going to post about. I'm going to use it to supplement my Quilt Design Wizard. Oh, and go check out the Modern Mini Mystery Round Robin Michele is doing over at Quilts from my Crayon Box.

As Tigger would say, TTFN!!

Cute bags. Congrats to the winners.

Of course you know that I love the quilt. In fact my Dogwood Trail just arrived yesterday but alas I have no time to do anything with it.

Glad to have you along for the Round Robin fun.

Wow, I would probably need three weeks to finish a mini like that! Great work!
