Progress: It Does a Body Good!

The mock stain glass looking Double Slice quilt (whew! gotta come up with a shorter name for it) is coming along nicely. I've already gotten four rows completely done. Three more to do and the top is done. I've got an idea for the back. We'll see how it works out.
I've pretty much decided to go with a variegated thread for the quilting. I'm not exactly sure how I'm going to  quilt it but it will come to me. It usually does.

I'm loving the way this is turning out Melinda! I think you're right- without the sashing it would have felt too busy. And you will have to take some close-ups of the quilting when you're done. I bet the variegated thread will be so fun!
PS: What brand of thread do you use for your quilting? Being a newbie I have just been using Gutterman's 50wt since it is the only 100% cotton that they have at Joann's. But I would like to know what you think works best!
