Inconceivable! A Giveaway!

* This Giveaway is closed.

Do you remember my post a few weeks ago for my daughter's birthday? I mentioned that we watched The Princess Bride and I was overwhelmed by all the comments from people who LOVE this movie. Well, a few years ago I found out it was based on a book. A real book. This book.

Yeah, I know it's not a quilty giveaway, but who knows...maybe I'll put a fat quarter in with it or something. Here's the deal. I've read it. I love it. It's wonderful. For those of you who don't like it when a movie doesn't follow the book? Not a problem. It is almost exact. But it gives you more. You get more background history on the characters and the locations mentioned in the story. It really helps round it all out.
So for all my Princess Bride lovers, are you interested? Want a copy? I thought I'd throw this out there for you or for any Princess Bride lovers you have in your family. Maybe a Christmas gift for someone special!

What do you have to do?
1 entry - Just leave a comment here. Tell me your favorite line from the movie if you've seen it. Otherwise, any comment will do.

Bonus entry - If you're a follower, let me know in another comment.

That's it. I'll keep this open until Sunday night, 11/27. I will post a winner Monday morning. I figure I don't want to have to deal with the traffic and craziness on Black Friday but I wanted you to get it before Christmas.

Fine print: This giveaway is sponsored by me using my own money and not to promote anybody's likes or dislikes (well, except my own). Unfortunately, due to this, it is open to the United States ONLY at this time. I regret this but hopefully I will be able to open giveaways up to international commenters at a later date when there is a little more money in the bank. Thank you for participating!

I love that movie! There were so many funny lines so it is hard to pick, but I liked when Carol Kane said, "I'm not a witch, I'm your wife!"

I'm a follower and I also like the "mostly dead" line. LOL!

Oh I just love that movie. My favorite line is "You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think." Thanks for the giveaway. I haven't read the book yet.

Being the family cook...

Miracle Max: Sonny, true love is the greatest thing, in the world-except for a nice MLT - mutton, lettuce and tomato sandwich, where the mutton is nice and lean and the tomato is ripe
LOL! Would love to get this book!

So, you don't have to give me the book because I have it and have read it (let's say several times). I just felt like commenting because I LOVE the book and the movie. It's a classic that my family loves to watch when we get all together.

It's so hard to choose just one! How about a couple?

Grandpa: "Since the invention of the kiss there have been five kisses that rated the most passionate, the most pure... this one left them all behind." (this one makes me go awww)

Westley: "Give us the gate key."
Yellin: "I have no gate key."
Inigo: "Fezzik, tear his arms off."
Yellin: "Oh, you mean this gate key." (this one makes me giggle)

Inigo: "Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die." (this one is just awesome)

LOVE the movie...I've never read the book. Even if I don't win, I'm getting the book! Thanks for the chance!

So many choices...my favorite part is the whole poison scene, especially when Vizzini says:
You only think I guessed wrong! That's what's so funny! I switched glasses when your back was turned! Ha ha! You fool! You fell victim to one of the classic blunders - The most famous of which is "never get involved in a land war in Asia" - but only slightly less well-known is this: "Never go against a Sicilian when death is on the line"!

Don't enter me since I already have 2 copies (one for each son), but, did you know that there is also an audio book read by Rob Reiner? It's great, too! Would you believe that there are 12 of us sitting around the TV watching Princess Bride as I read and type this? Sew funny!

Fezzik: You've been mostly-dead all day.
