As I said before, this week was birthday week. Mine was last Wednesdays, my daughter's was Saturday and hubby's is today. I got 8 pillowcases done by Saturday for her party.
I have also been working on a project bag. It's a bit big.
That bag you're looking at? Yeah, it has 3 lap quilts in it. I am probably going to use my leftovers to make a smaller version. I really wanted something to take projects to quilting guild in for show and tell, but I went ahead and added pockets inside.
I have a large pocket on one side for my cutting mat, some small pockets on the other side for notions, and a long pocket on the bottom of that side for my ruler. I may put a button with a loop for that to keep it closed. I am doing a tutorial on this one as soon as I get it stitched around that top and add the straps.
That's it? Yup. Unfortunately. But I have plans, lots of plans! Mwahahahahahaha! (cough, gasp, wheeze, breathe!) Um, sorry about that. Yeah, just come back and visit later!

I adore that Amy Butler fabric - I have some scraps that I'm hoarding for a someday project. You know how it goes....What a great idea to make a giant project bag for toting stuff back and forth to guild etc. Happy WIP Wednesday!

Looks like you have been busy! pillow cases, a bag and a birthday sleep over..what a week you had!
That bag is awesome! Did you use a pattern/tutorial or just wing it?
So cool you got the pillow cases all made. Love the big green bag! BTW, bags can never too big. ;)

The great-big-bag is beautiful and soooo practical! Did the pillows ever get sorted out after the party? LOL
That is a lovely project bag and the pillowcases sound fun.
Happy belated Birthday week!! And that bag must be very nice to use to take to guild meetings and such. Great color too!

Wow, I love your bag! Love that fabric!
your owl pillow case is just so cute and what a great bag. hope to see some embroidery soon.
I have vowed to keep my machine out and sew every day....even if it's jut for 10 or 15 minutes. However, like today, I have sewed since I got up. I finished squares and now I'm cutting them and sewing rows. I have half the top done now.
The pillow case is very cute... As is your fabric choices in general :)
Wow 8 pillowcases. What a fun gift. The bag is awesome. I need a big one like that - I'll be watching for the tute.
Love your project bag and if it`s big, you`ll just need some more projects!
