WiP Wednesday!

What's going on? I know a bunch of people just got back from the Sewing Summit! So jealous but I'm really going to try to go next year. Faith of Fresh Lemons Quilts wrote up an absolutely fabulous wrap-up of the event but my favorite part were her hints on how to go next year and not go broke. Wonderful tips. Definitely got it on my list for next year.
Now, here we go.
WIP Wednesday at Freshly Pieced

Now that Lee's back and rested we can see what everyone has been up to. Maybe there will even be some posts about what kind of goodies got cooked up while they were at the Summit!

To start with, I just found out yesterday I made the Yellow, Aqua, and Gray color swap at Craftbuds with Lindsay!

They had a great little deal with Craftygirls Workshop so she would cut it for you if you bought it from her (with a little fee), and you only had to pay S/H once because she would only be sending it straight out to you once. I can't wait to see what goodies come from this. I'm loving what I see so far. I saw that my bloggy friend and fellow GA girl Sew Allegorical is in it too! There are 28 of us so I can't wait to see who else gets involved! And the colors are going to make a yummy quilt!

Completed:
Diamond Chains is done! I extended the quilt along for another week so people could get their quilting and binding done. I'm very excited about the work the other girls did. Can't wait to show you guys next week!
Here's another closeup of the quilting I made. I finally got a good shot of both the diamonds and the flowers, but also the little four patch type block the diamonds made where they met.

In Progress:
I finished a top for a donation quilt last night. We'll see if I can get it done by Friday for Swim Bike Quilt's campaign for 100 Quilts for Kids. If not, it will still get donated.

I also got my string block done for Skill Builder.

Most of my projects for the Ghastlie Blog Hop are finished. Sorry I can't show those! Make sure to check in with Madame Samm for the schedule so you can come see all the goodies that almost 60 BLOGGERS have made for this event!

I did a litte work on my Embroidery 101 blocks I have this one and one more left to do! I decided to go with a different flower than was given for this block.
That's all I'm reporting on this week, cause that's all I've done! I've got several things to get back to and finish (don't we all) so hopefully some of those will get some attention this week as well.

oh man, I am so sad I missed that swap. I saw it but didn't read it enough to see you could just buy it from her. Too bad. Your progress is looking great. Congrats on keeping up with the embroidery 101.
