WiP Wednesday!

It's that time again, folks. Wednesday sure seems to get here a lot faster in the summer, dang it!
WIP Wednesday at Freshly Pieced

Well, what have I done this week? Last week I completed my Skill Builder block, and this week I finished the challenge block.

I have actually decided (after some prompting from flickr viewers!) to make this one into a quilt. I'm calling it Diamond Chains. Check back with me after I return from the beach next week for a quilt along/tutorial for this one.

I also finally finished my second Embroidery 101 block.
I keep alternating between my red and white hexie quilt, and the Grandma's Garden. Last time I worked on the Garden, so this time I've been progressing on red and white.

I'm getting closer to finishing the center design. I finished a central part and I've started moving around that to pick up the rest of the design. Of course when it's done, I have to figure out what other design I'm putting on this quilt!
Yesterday my kids grandparents took them to a museum up in Atlanta so I got a little done while they were gone. Of course it ended up being something for them, but that's okay. I figured out my own tutorial to make a DS case with spaces for cartridges. Here's the one I made Thing 2.
Thing 1 will get to pick out her own fabric since it's a lot easier to do one for a girl! She was also excited that hers will be the second one since the first one is the one that I usually work out all the bugs on! This will actually have a tutorial for it when I get all the pictures in and the instructions done.
Check over at Lee's to see everyone's progress this week!

I love the embroidery block! That QAL is on my list to go back to when I am done a few of the things on my list. I also love the challenge block. I can't wait to see how it looks as an entire quilt!

Your embroidery is great too, I kind of wish I was doing this one too. The DS case is a great idea. You had an awesome week this week.

I love that skill builder block. And your red and white hexies, are you just adding white/red as you go, wherever? This is really nice!
