I think what's going to have to happen is either some changing of geese color or just some moving of geese (I think Kathy already saw this coming!). In other words, it involves a seam ripper! Here is the first idea. This one and the last one are very similar; this one just has the least changes to what you already have.
Bear in mind I cannot tilt my program, but it gives you the idea. In this one, you would just move the geese from one place to another on one block, or trade a white based geese (goose?) with a green one from another block. This would probably involve the least amount of creating/buying new fabric because it's just moving geese from one place to another.
Here are a couple of others with the same basic design but just the addition or subtraction of specific parts of the chain fabric.
Here is an example of some of the block changes.
I realize this may not exactly what Kathy wanted but I hope it helped a little!

These variations are all sooo cool. Are you using EQ7 to make the design? And I can't believe I haven't been hanging out on your blog sooner. When I got here, I was like "THAT'S TILDA!!!!" I've been seeing your blocks on flickr (and loving them) for a while now. Sometimes I'm a bit slow.
Melinda! Thank you so much for playing around with this. I went to JoAnn Fabrics today and bought some purple to try to throw in between the rows, but I really like option #3. You ROCK! I'll mess with this more later today. I also just happened to buy a NEW seam ripper at 50% off with a comfort grip. LOL. Guess I knew it was coming. Thank you thank you thank you!
COOL!!!!!
