Boys are Very Different Than Girls

I have said it before and I have now said it again. Boys just go full force into everything without any thought as to whether or not it might get them in trouble. Thing 2 came down from our office this morning complaining that he needed a bandaid. When I asked what he'd done, he said he hurt his thumb on a staple. I got out of him that he was messing with our stapler, which I corrected him about. We talked about how it was unsafe to play with, it's not a toy, etc. and so forth. I thought the matter was closed.
After folding laundry, I stopped in our office to turn off the computer because the kids left it running. While there, I found a little surprise on the desktop.

It seems that he took it upon himself to break apart almost a whole box of staple strips. And as you and I know, it's such great fun to put tiny little staple bits into a stapler. Oh joy.

Hahahaha... that sounds like something one of my brothers would have done when we were kids. Now that I have a son of my own (I have a daughter, too)... I know that I've got staple bits in my future too!

This makes me laugh, because my son would SO do something like this.

Your real-life stories are so hillarious! Yes, you are right about boys (men, too) just charging right into things without thinking of where it will lead! (I raised 3 boys. I survived and they are all grown now.)
