WiP Wednesday!

Diamond Chains Quilt Along UPDATE:
I accidentally switched two of the numbers on the fabric yardage chart. The amount needed for the diamonds and centers were switched around. I apologize for the mistake. Unfortunately I already purchased my fabric so I will have to alter my blocks, but I wanted to hopefully catch anyone else. I have changed it on the fabric post for the quilt along. I apologize for the mistake!

Linking up to Lee at WiP Wednesday! Don't forget to go check on everyone's progress!

Ongoing Projects:

Up to date on Skill Builder. Newest blocks blogged about here.

Up to date on Embroidery 101

I also have done some work on my red and white hexie. I know I've gotten a ton done for the amount of time I've been working on it, but we've reached the part where it seems to go so much slower; the filler part. but I'll get there!

My Diamond Chains Quilt Along has begun and I am working on the tutorial for the blocks which will be posted next Tuesday. I was dying to try it out on the fabric I purchased for it so here is my first block.
I like it with the Innocent Crush and I think I'm going to like it with a different solid other than white. Don't get me wrong! Love my white, but I just wanted to try something different. This Kona Crimson is very warm in person. Man, I can tell I threw it down and took a picture quickly. I think all my blocks look crooked from my poor pictures! I'm glad I worked up this block because I found a mistake in my fabric count. I inadvertently switched two numbers. I kept trying to figure out why I needed so much fabric for the center squares. I accidently switched the diamond fabric amount with the center amount. So since I already bought mine, I am going to switch my fabrics. I am keeping this block as is and I'm going to use it at the juncture of the two lines. Again, I apologize for the mistake.
Completed Projects:

All four dining room chairs recovered

I also won some fat quarters this week at quilting guild. I was very excited to build up my stash as I don't really have much of one. Don't tell my hubbie that. He thinks I have a lot of fabric.

No Progress:
Grandma's Garden Hexie quilt
Charm Pack quilt
String Quilt

I never tire of seeing your red and whites. Love them!

That chain quilt is going to be very neat. That red certainly has pop.

And... your chairs look amazing. Love that fabric.

The Skill Builder blocks look great don't they, love the pops of orange.
You are really getting through quite a bit each week, the embroidered blocks all look so lovely, this one is really cute.
The Diamond Chains block looks wonderful, I love the combination of Innocent Crush you have picked. I love white backgrounds, but sometimes it's really nice to have a change and I think that Crimson is going to look perfect.
