WIP Wednesday #4!

There were several "non-quilt" projects this week, but I still got some sewing done overall!

Ongoing Projects:

The charm quilt hasn't changed. The Spring quilt is closer to being done. I finally decided to to take it to the quilter instead of trying to do it myself. I want specific things on it which I know I can't do with me only being able to straight line quilt.

New Projects:
I got started on this quilt; yet another from KarriLyne of Freckled Whimsy.

I got a lot farther along than I expected. I really need some better light down in my work area.

I also started and completed one bike basket for my son (though I have not completed one for my daughter).

I did start a travel bag for my daughter using this tutorial as a starting point (there will be many modifications). I am trying to take pictures along the way so I can post my modifications here.
I wasn't really concerned about being matchy. I wanted to do this without having to go out and purchase a lot more supplies. However, I have run out of interfacing so I don't really have any choice but to make at least one run. Unfortunately, there are no Hobby Lobby coupons this week so I am going to make a run to Joann's. I wish it were closer. But I thought I'd check out the Denyse Schmidt fabrics while I'm there. Do you know that I've had several fat quarters from her Katie Jump Rope line but had no idea they were by her? I bought them at the local quilting store (when they were still open!) but I just bought them because I liked them. I think that's why you should purchase things anyway!

Completed Quilts awaiting quilting:
On the Road to Spring quilt

Completed Quilts awaiting binding:
none

On Hold:
Fancy Stripes quilt
String quilt (not really on hold but I didn't get any work done on it this week)
This week's stats:
New projects - 2 (bike basket and travel bag
Completed projects - 2 (boy's quilt & one bike basket)
Currently in progress - 7 (this number doesn't even seem to go down even when the 'completed' number goes up!)

Hi, I surfed in from WIP Wednesday. You have been busy. Lots of great stuff on the go. I like the interesting sashing design on your first quilt. It's almost like a maze. Very unique.

I have heard about the DS fabric in Joann's I have not checked the one here out yet. I am not sure I would know it when I saw it and the Katie Jump Rope fabric I heard about that too but didn't see any in our store. I have a 30 mile drive to Joann's. I like the fabric for your daughters bike basket cover.
